Hey have you seen Iron Man 2 yet? Now you probably came to our blog, because you were looking up something YOLI. So why am I so excited about this movie? Is it because I think that Robert Downey Jr. is an amazing actor, and wonderful to look at? No it is not, although yes I do. The reason I am so excited is that Iron Man 2 is a Marketing Blessing for those of us in Yoli. That’s right, for those of you who have not see Iron Man 2 yet, let me tell you, the KOR bottle is a major part of the plot of the film. Check out the amazing event in Torrance hosted by James and Rachel Romero.  It was an amazing evening, The Romeros kicked it off, followed by a great presentation by Yoli Founder, and CMO Corey Citron.  Then Corey sat down and had a one on one with the special guest of the evening, The World’s Greatest Athlete (he won a silver medal in the ’04 and a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in the Decathlon), and Yoli Distributor Bryan Clay.  It was great to hear from such an amazing athlete his personal experience using Alkalete both in the Fun Blast Formulation, and also in the new Alkalete Capsules (both available starting in May.) And Eugene Hong finished out the evening with a few words.  As always, a great event. Convention…Is it worth going?  Did you ask yourself that question? Did you do what you needed to, to be where you needed to be?  Today’s post is my story of getting to the Yoli Blast Off Convention.  I hope you enjoy it.

The Yoli Blast Off Convention happened Jan. 22-24^th 2010, at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.  It was non-stop action, from registering, going to the Yoli store, and the late evening reception on Friday night to hanging out with other distributors after a day of incredible training from some of Network Marketing and Yoli’s top leaders on Sunday.  But a more about that in my next post.

My story begins several months back when I found out the dates of the Yoli Convention.  Michael and I knew that of course we were going to go, after all, we all know the saying “Leaders are born at Events.”  So we booked our room, and made sure that we had tickets, and started getting ready for a once in a lifetime experience.  Then sometime in December, Michael changed jobs, and circumstances being what they may, Michael was not going to be able to join me for the Yoli Blast Off Convention after all!  So, I changed my plans, and asked my dear friend, and fellow Yoli distributor to go with me.  After all, we could make it a girl’s weekend away!  The plans were made, and both of us were getting very excited!

The anticipation was building, this was going to be a very special event.  Keynote speakers like Yoli’s very own Bryan Clay, World’s Greatest Athlete, and one of the greatest athletes of all time, Carl Lewis, a big launch party with Yoli Founder and CMO, Corey Citron spinning, and a Sunday training with some of Yoli’s top leaders.  This was going to be FUN.  I was a little worried about the weather. We live in Los Angeles, and had always planned on driving, we figured what was the worst that could happen? Who knew LA would be hit by 4 huge storms in a row!

Finally the day had come, we were both all packed, I woke up early, and checked my phone.  PROBLEM, there is a text message from my friends daughter, telling me my friend is deathly ill, and there is no way she is coming with me.  Now as bad as I felt for my friend, I was heartbroken, and to be honest a bit scared to go by myself.  I paced around my house for hours, I was upset!  The rain was pouring outside, my parents had called suggesting I not go because of the weather, and I needed to get on the road because I WAS GOING TO CONVENTION!!  To not go was never an option!

I got on the road and began the 271 mile drive, it was raining, and I don’t mean a little drizzle, I mean a steady downpour!! I pushed on.  It rained, at time torrential for the first couple of hours.  As I continued the drive, the rain did start to come down less hard, but as I looked down at the thermometer in my car I realized that was because it was no longer rain, but snow that was falling, but I pushed on, laughing, as I have only seen snow falling a handful of times in my life, I thought it was neat at first.  Then it started coming down faster, harder and bigger, and I just kept hoping I was going to get through before chains were needed.  I just kept on driving, and as soon as I was through the blizzard, the rest of the drive was one of the most beautiful and scenic drives I have ever made, snow covered mountains, 3 different rainbows along the way, and then finally I was in Vegas!  Maybe things were going to be alright…

I checked into my room at Bally’s, had my luggage brought up and started to get settled, only to find used soap, toothpaste, and other miscellaneous used toiletries in the drawer by the bed, AND the safe didn’t work, time to change rooms!  So they got me a new room, a few floors away, and then with no bellhop or any help, I lugged all my stuff to the new room.  I was really starting to think that it was not my day!  I went to go find Julie Booz, my friend and Sponsor but somehow could not find her, connect with her, or anyone else I knew for that matter.  I was on the verge of tears, I was there, but ready to give up.

But then, something happened, the magic of Yoli you could say.  As I was walking though the walkway, looking at all of the YOLI banners hanging.  I ran into Robert Meyers and his wife Lyn.   I had met them several times at events in Los Angeles, but it was like seeing old friends, Lyn seeing how upset I was, made sure I had their number, and that if I wasn’t able to find the people I was looking for to make sure to call them, I knew I was not going to be alone!  So I walked over to registration, and bumped into Corey Citron, who was surprised to hear that I was alone, and about how my day had been going (how nice, that he took the time to see how I was, even as the launch of both his Company and Event were about to occur!) I assured him I would be fine, and we went on our way.  I then registered and checked out the amazing Yoli Store, and started talking to people, my day was changing before my eyes, and I realized I was exactly where I needed to be!!

By the way, in case you don’t know the kind of person Corey Citron is (we all know what an amazing marketer, leader and mentor he is but I mean what kind of person,) he texted me about an hour later to make sure that I was okay,  As I said the magic of Yoli was happening around me.

And then the events began, there was a late night reception put on by my upline where I was fortunate enough to be hanging out with our team along with some of the top leaders in the company, Eugene Hong, Janice Stiglietz, Julie Booz and of course the Founders made an appearance as well.  What a way to start things off!  And this is only the beginning!!  Check back here in the next few days to read the rest of my Convention story, I promise you, it only gets better in every way!! Convention’s coming up Jan 22-24^th, to read more about it check out our previous Convention Post here.  But, before Convention even gets here, Yoli Founder, and President Robby Fender, and Yoli Founder and CMO Corey Citron are going to be doing an East Coast Blast Off Tour: Cherry Hill, NJ – Friday January 8, Raleigh, Durham, NC- Saturday January 9, Atlanta, GA – Sunday January 10, Jacksonville, FL – Monday January 11, Miami, FL – Tuesday January 12, Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Wednesday January 13.  That’s right, if you have prospects or team members that are anywhere near these six locations, make sure to get them and yourselves to these power packed events. Let Corey and Robby do the closing for you.   Lead by example, if you show up, your team will follow! Bring your prospects with you, doesn’t everyone have an hour of time to give for an event that may change their lives?  Live events help you develop both your leadership and networking skills, use them!

And we hear another one of the great announcements to come on Saturday is the new shipping rates that have already been put into effect, and these are ones that benefit THE DISTRIBUTORS!  There is no longer going to be a $4.99 handling charge, and they are lowering the shipping to 10% flat fee.  The company opened up a second warehouse in Tennessee and is passing the saving along to us!  There will be a water surcharge as follows: TRUTH Bottles and Caps (6 Pack) – $2.50, TRUTH Bottles and Caps (12 Pack) – $5.00 and TRUTH Bottles and Caps (24 Pack) – $10.00.  But, you don’t need to be getting bottles with water all the time, remember to be Earth friendly, only order bottles when you need them, and get yourself a KOR Yoli bottle for your personal use, you will be doing something good for everyone, and every little bit counts!

Wow, what a week it has been!!  Yoli entered into its official Pre-Launch phase, Yoli Founder, and CMO, Corey Citron hosted a 3 hour training session in Los Angeles, product was shipped, and there was a Yoli Blast Off Party in Salt Lake City with all of the Yoli Founders and many of Yoli’s leaders in attendance.  But, the biggest thrill of all was receiving our Yoli box in the mail, opening it up and finding boxes and boxes of blast caps, with beautifully branded bottles to go with them (Michael actually got to do it, this is the pictures he immediately emailed to my cell phone)!!

Yes, Yoli is real, Yoli is here, and Yoli is only going to get bigger and bigger.

Coming up this week, we have another training right here in Venice, California with Corey Citron on Thursday November 19^th, make sure to stick around afterwards, we are all going to go out together (its a great opportunity to hang out with a Founder in a casual atomosphere.)   And, Yoli Founder, Executive V.P., Daren Falter, will be doing a Business Briefing in Cache Valley, Utah on November 17, 2009. On October 27th, 2009, the first official Los Angeles Yoli Blast Meeting took place at the Marriott in Marina Del Rey. There was an amazing turnout with over 250 people attending! Lots of leaders in the house, including Janice Stieglitz, David Hull, Eugene Hong, Joe Barden and Ty Rice, just to name a few. It was a great presentation, David Hull took introductions and warmed up the crowd, Robby Fender started off the presentation and after about 30 minutes, he handed over the mike to Corey Citron to close it all out.

Following the presentation, everyone had a little Yoli. And then, many of us gathered together to hang out with our new Yoli Family. It was a great night for all, and we can’t wait for the next one.

The Yoli Pre-Launch Webinar got started with Janice Stieglitz taking introductions.  There were people calling in from every state and some foreign countries as well.

Next Janice introduced Yoli Founder, CMO and her son, Corey Citron.  After a quick review of some important information including, that the second Yoli Blast Cap formulation FUN, the Sports blast will be coming out in January.

Also the 4th weekend in January, Yoli will kick off their official Launch in Las Vegas.  He went over some of the astounding statistics already being achieved online with Yoli, and it’s various sites, and then he introduced each of the Founders.

The Founders each took a turn with their own Thank You’s as Corey introduced them.  Darren Falter, Michael Pritchard, Bobby Jones, Rick Eisele, and then to finish it up Robby Fender.  After some true heart felt thank yous, the boys finally got down to real business.

Samples can no longer be purchased on the YoliTools site, ( however, they are continuing to offer the 2 free samples,) because the Official Yoli Pre-Launch begins  November 6, 2009.  Make sure that all of your team members know, on this day, Yoli will start charging our credit cards, and shipping out product.  Also on this day, people will begin to be able to place orders online on your GoYoli site.

We couldn’t be more excited to be Yoli Founding Distributors, and a part of this historic Pre-Launch!
